The Wired Kayaker recently wrote about his trek on the Roger Williams Paddle, which follows the route that led Roger Williams to settle in Providence. He was accompanied by organizers of the Rhode Island BlueWays Alliance and the Ten Mile River Watershed Council, who are among those working to better promote and organize Rhode Island's network of waterways and other outdoor recreational opportunities.
