Save The Bay Ultimate Lighthouse Tours
May-Sept: Join Save The Bay for a day of exploring the lighthouses of Narragansett Bay the way they were intended to be viewed -- from the water. Sail down the West Passage to Newport and return home via the East Passage, viewing more than a dozen active and inactive lighthouses. A tour of historic Rose Island Lighthouse is included. Lunch and binoculars are provided. Tours run from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., on select Saturdays. Tours depart from Save The Bay Center, 100 Save the Bay Dr., Providence. Rhode Island Bay Lighthouse Cruise & Newport Harbor Tour
May-Oct: A one-hour and forty minute narrated tour of lower Narragansett Bay featuring 10 Lighthouses, 10 islands, sailing under both the Jamestown and Newport Bridges, past Hammersmith Farm, Castle Hill, Fort Adams, the Aircraft Carriers “USS Saratoga” and “USS Forrestal”, cruise through famous Newport Harbor and past many other popular Rhode Island Landmarks. The Lighthouse Cruises depart every Saturday and Sunday through October 9 at 1:00 pm. Other special sailing dates include Thursday, September 18 & 25 and Columbus Day (Monday) October 13 departing at 1:00 pm. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made online or over the phone. Adults $25, Seniors (60 ) $22, Children (2-12) $14, Infants are free. Dockside parking is provided free of charge.
