Chef Tim Kelly
Executive Chef Tim Kelly has refined his culinary artistry over the course of a distinguished 35-year career. Commencing his gastronomic journey as a pastry chef, he quickly rose, at age 20, to become Chef de Cuisine at Newport's Le Bistro. The next stage of his training brought him to Le Crocodile, a three-star Michelin restaurant in Strasbourg, France.
He then returned to the United States and settled in for stints at New York City's Canal Bar and 150 Wooster Street, before coming home to his native Rhode Island where he reigned as one of New England's top chefs during a 15-year stay at Providence's Cafe Nuovo. Along the way, Chef Tim's cooking has been praised in Gourmet, Wine Spectator, the New York Times and, locally, in The Providence Journal and Rhode Island Monthly
"Chapel Grille is the largest and most prestigious venue to ever feature my cooking", said Kelly. "The menu reflects the culmination of everything I've learned." -Tim Kelly
