Fluke Wine, Bar & Kitchen
Chef Kevin King joined Fluke Wine, Bar & Kitchen in Summer 2009 as sous chef and was promoted to executive chef in Spring 2012. Chef King fell in love with the culinary world as a teen. Since then, he has had the opportunity to work with several acclaimed chefs in New York City, such as Rick Laakkonen, who ran the kitchens at Chanterelle, The River Caffà and Ilo, as well as Chef Scott Conant, known for his Italian restaurants LLâ?Impero, Alto and Scarpetta. Chef King then went on to help open the New York outpost of Koi.
A turning point in his career was meeting Chef Neil Manacle. Together, they opened Apiary in New York City in 2007 and then relocated to Fluke in 2009. It was thanks to the careful guidance of Manacle that King was allowed flourish and grow, building confidence in all aspects of kitchen management.
Chef King has a strong background in French, Italian and Asian cuisines. The menu at Fluke changes frequently, highlighting the best that the season has to offer.
