In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act and its guidelines, Commerce RI cannot collect, use or disclose personal information from children without obtaining verifiable consent from a parent. The only pertinent exception to this rule is responding to a onetime request, after which the identifiable child-specific information is deleted. This site collects the following information: name, address, phone/fax (optional) and email (optional). We cannot require a child to disclose more information than is reasonably necessary to participate in an activity such as ordering maps. The information is collected exclusively through the submittal form.

We use this information to respond to questions, provide information and collect demographic data for reports to the Rhode Island General Assembly and the local, regional and national tourism boards.

Parents can agree to the collection and use of a child's information without consenting to the disclosure to third parties and can review the child's personal information, ask to have it deleted and refuse to allow any further collection and use of the child's information, by contacting the privacy manager or by using our online contact form.

Limited Copyrights

Commerce RI/Tourism shall collect editorial and contact information including names, phone numbers, fax numbers, website URLs, email addresses and other information about various tourism-related properties and their services through a property opt-in basis whereby this content may be modified to meet suitable editorial requirements to be posted on this site. All content provided by property owners and/or agents shall be listed as public domain and may be reused by the public without penalty or infringement of copyrights to the property owner, Commerce RI, or the State of Rhode Island.
