Fill-up a blank journal with words and pictures. Put one of those mini tape recorders on the dash. Write on the backs of a couple hundred postcards and stick them all together with tape and glue. Whatever you need to do to get it all down, do it. Your grandkids will treasure it forever. Who knows, people who come to this site may get a kick out of it, too. Submi your log here, and we just might publish your Great Rhode Island Novel. Below is a little something we faked to help you get the point.

Weekapaug 7:30 AM - We took a trip in early Fall of '03. Had no itinerary but found some primo picnic turf along RI's beautiful coastline and a couple of spots in some suprisingly remote (for megalopolis) wilderness. The gist of the jaunt was picnic driven, but I have to say that we cheated twice and ate at a couple of restaurants.

The first place we found was off a dirt road just outside

of Weekapaug right on a salt pond. We were lucky and found a place open early right in Haversham, so we picked some stuff for the AM barby. It was chilly in the ocean air, so we engaged in an impromptu reenactment of the Patriots '02 superbowl drive to get the blood flowing. After the awarding of the superbowl trophy (an aptly shaped rock crowned with seaweed), we made the short trip to Arcadia Park just to the north.
