Forever Plaid

One of the most popular and successful musicals in recent memory, this deliciously goofy revue centers on four young, eager male singers kille din a car crash in the 1950s on their way to their first big concert. Miraculously they are revived for the posthumous chance to fulfill their dreams and perform the show that never was. The Plaids since great nostalgic pop hits of the 50s in the closest of harmony, squabble boyishly over the smallest intonations, and execute charmingly outlandish choreography with over-zealous precision. Songs include, Heart and Soul, Three Coins in a Fountain, 16 Tons, and many others.

Birdeatsbaby

Alt-classical prog-punk act Birdeatsbaby are an unusual four-piece that hail from Brighton, UK. Not really fitting into any current musical trends, the band steer towards a dark cabaret rock sound, with fast-paced and complex drums, piano, bass and violin all tied up with huge and catchy choruses. Like a more hyper-active Nick Cave meets a slightly depressed Freddie Mercury, Birdeatsbaby have been described as many things, including a distinctly unhinged brand of burlesque freak-pop, and Twin Peaks on snuff.

The Heritage Tree Project

The Heritage Tree Project is a collaboration between gallery owner, Alice Benvie-Gebhart, her family and Providence sculptor, Barrett Kern. Kern was commissioned by Gebhart to create an abstract interpretation of the family using the symbol of a tree. The members of Gebharts family, aged 2 to senior citizen, were introduced to the artistic process called kiln-fired glass. They each created a unique glass leaf design that will be inserted within the eight-foot steel structure. The combination of glass and steel will stand in front of the gallery and will commemorate the gallerys mission to communicate the family tradition of making and sharing art with the public.

Although they wont be going out in boats, they will learn basic sailing theory and knot tying. Led by experienced sailing instructor Joanne Murrman, the kids will spend the day making compass roses, symbol flags, knot boards, and more
