VisitRhodeIsland.com receives thousands of hits each day and is a critical tool for event planners seeking to attain maximum exposure to both the consumer and the media. This free listing insures visibility for your event and organization.

Guidelines for Submitting Events

What events are eligible for calendar submission?
The Rhode Island Tourism Division considers an eligible "event" to be: a theatrical or musical performance, public show or exhibit, festival, sporting event, or other form of entertainment or recreation which may be of interest to a large number of people visiting or living in Rhode Island. "Events" must have finite dates and be open to the public.

How does the submission process work?
After the submission form is completed it is sent to a staff member for determination of eligibility, as listed above. Once the details are approved, the Calendar Editor posts the listing to the online calendar at www.visitrhodeisland.com. The Tourism Division reserves the right to edit or refuse publication of submitted events. Listings will typically post within 3 business days. To alter or rescind a previously submitted event please contact our Publications and Database Specialist.
