ACT at St. Andrew's (ACTSA) is a premier children's theater offering comprehensive theater arts education programs for all youth, grades K-12 in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. Through on-ste and outreach programs, student-ACTors learn the fundamentals of acting while developing as individuals. Training includes playwriting skills, voice and diction, movement, improvisation, musical theatre as well as production and performance. All programs are led by professional Teaching Artists and focus on enrichment, entertainment, confidence building and empowerment. The ACTSA Ensemble, consisting of students ages 8-18, performs full scale productions throughout the year at The McCulloch Center for the Arts located in Barrington, RI. "Kids performing for kids" makes theater accessible and lively for young audiences while engaging audiences of all ages. Facilities include the McCulloch Center for the Arts which includes a Black Box Theater and the 280 seats Keats Theater fully equipped with theatrical lighting and sound equipment.
