A visit to the Johnson & Wales Culinary Arts Museum in Providence will excite your senses and pique your appetite for art and artifacts about food service and cookery. The 4000 square foot diner exhibit includes original neon signs and an actual 1926 15 stool diner, the Ever Ready, which last operated in Providence. The Little Chef Diner is a play are for kids. Step inside the taproom of an 1833 stagecoach tavern, originally in Stoddard, NH, or sidle up to a 1927 Art Deco bar. "Dinner at the White House" includes the menu from Abraham Lincoln's Second Inaugural Ball. Experience the edible art of food presentation: wedding cakes, chocolate and sugar sculpture, and decorative bread showpieces made by Johnson & Wales instructors and students in the Baking and Pastry Arts program.
