A visit to the Culinary Arts Museum at Johnson & Wales University in Providence will excite your sense and pique your appetite for art and artifacts relating to the world of food. Through exhibitions and special events, the museum demonstrates the evolution of food preparation and presentation, the development of culinary equipment and technology, the diverse menus offered, and the places where people partake of food. The acclaimed diner exhibit includes an actual 1926 15-stool diner inside the museum. There is also the tap room from an 1833 stategoach tavern, along with a country fair midway, a show on the art of the fruit crate label, Chinese culinary antiquities, children's toy stoves, wedding cakes, bread showpieces, and much, much more.
