A call to arms to protect business from the anti-capitalist rhetoric of the 1960s. Soon-to-be Supreme Court Justice Lewis Powell's widely-read memo sounds the alarm to protect the free market system from Left Wing radicals and helps usher in the rise of contemporary pro-business conservatism.
Action Speaks looks at contemporary issues through the lens of history by using under-appreciated moments of the 20th century and provides a venue for fellow citizens to engage in thoughtful discussions about history, culture, and current events.
This year Action Speaks looks at moments when the rights of the individual have clashed with the needs or beliefs of the public and where the line between private and public has been defined or blurred.
