Full Moon Walk
Tillinghast Pond Management Area
January 26, 2013
Saturday, 6:00 p.m.
Free Admission
Here is a rare opportunity to explore Tillinghast Pond at night. We will take a 2.5 mile hike around the pond, listening for hooting owls and possibly howling coyotes, and let the moonlight show the way. Last year, a big yellow moon came up behind the pines just as we were gathering for the hike. What a majestic sight!
Trail conditions are hard to predict this far out, but please watch this site for updates. I will check the trail a day or two in advance, and report back.
We'll meet at the Plain Road parking lot at 100 Plain Road, West Greenwich, RI. From Plain Meeting House Road, turn right onto Plain Road after you see the entrance to the Wickaboxet Management area. Follow Plain Road for 1/2 mile to the parking lot on the right.
