A human library is a living, breathing library where humans are the books and the stories are their lives! Come to Rochambeau Library and "check out" one of our unique, living books for interesting, challenging conversations of a kind you've never had before. At this one day event, you'll meet people drawn from all over Rhode Island, who have in some way experienced prejudice or disadvantage in their lives and have volunteered to tell their personal stories and answer questions about their lives and experiences. Part of a worldwide project designed to challenge the views which lead to misunderstanding and prejudice, Human Library Rhode Island is the first event of its kind in the state. Don't miss it!
