Elizabeth Becker is an award-winning author and former Senior Foreign Editor for National Public Radio, in addition to being a well-known writer for the New York Times and Washington Post. In her presentation, Ms. Becker will examine both the beneficial and hazardous sides of the modern travel and tourism industry, and what it means for countries' economic development, cultural heritage, environment, and the way we live.
