Located on over 200 acres, Mount Hope Farm is your quintessential salt-water farm. On July 12, 1677, King Charles II granted permission for the purchase of the Mount Hope lands in a document signed at Windsor Castle. The first owner, Nathaniel Byfield purchase the property from the Plymouth Colony. On the National Register of Historic Places, the farm is a site to be seen. Country walkways and paths bring you through forest, meadows, streams and a panoramic view of Mount Hope, Narragansett Bays and Cove Cabin. The grounds are open to the public year round and during the summer and holiday season, the Governor Bradford House (1745) is open for tours. The property is idyllic for receptions, corporate and social events. Country Inn accommodations are also available.
