A converted railway, this five-mile, completely paved greenway is popular with many hikers and bicyclists as a great way to enjoy the great outdoors. Three miles of the trail have been designated as the first Rhode Island segment of the East Coast Greenway, which will span from Maine to Florida. Scheduled completion in fall of 2011. Eastern segment under construction by JH Lynch from 8/09 thru 6/2011. West Warwick line to Station Street closed during consturction. Phase II (West) Station to Coventry Center will be under construction (July through December 2011) and will be closed during construction.
