A native of New Jersey, Brian Mansfield learned the art of cooking from his mother, where he spent countless hours in the kitchen helping to prepare meals for his family.
Later he enrolled at Johnson and Wales University, where he was exposed to world-class talent and earned three degrees in Culinary Arts, Foodservice Management and Foodservice Education.
Brian soon assisted in opening 22 Bowen's Wine Bar & Grille, a world-class steakhouse on the waterfront in Newport, Rhode Island. Never known to shy away from a challenge, Brian gladly accepted the position as Executive Chef alongside fellow Executive Chef, Gary Jefferds.
In 2003, Brian left 22 Bowen's and joined her sister property, The Mooring, where he was instrumental in modernizing and shaping the menu and culinary philosophy of the long-standing seafood restaurant.
Now he has returned to 22 Bowen's to execute his talents and dishes that he is so well-loved for through the Newport culinary community.
