The Association of Rhode Island Authors (ARIA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization of local, published writers of both fiction and non-fiction committed to raising awareness of the outstanding written works crafted by writers in Rhode Island and other nearby communities.

In addition, ARIA hopes to become the definitive referral center for all local bookstores, libraries, and readers seeking information about and presentations from Rhode Island authors. ARIA authors are available for speaking engagements, book signings, lectures, workshops, and other activities that promote local writers and writing.

Membership in ARIA is open to any local author who may be traditionally published, self-published or indie-published in any paper or electronic format.

The Blount family has been in the food business since 1880. Blount Fine Foods is a custom foods company creating fabulous soups and premium prepared foods for club stores, grocery stores, and restaurants throughout the country. Great Grandfather DeLucia made the earliest Del’s Frozen Lemonade in 1840 in Naples, Italy. During the winter he carried snow into nearby caves and insulated it with straw. When summer arrived and the local lemons were ripe and flavorful, he mixed their juice with just the right amount of sugar and snow. 

Grandfather Franco DeLucia brought his father’s frozen lemonade recipe to America at the turn of the century. Angelo DeLucia, his son, began work on a machine to produce the frozen lemonade, and on a method of making it a consistently excellent product. In 1948, Del’s Frozen Lemonade acquired its name and became the sole product sold at a little stand in Cranston, Rhode Island. Soon, Angelo designed the first mobile units in order to serve anywhere in the state.

Today, Del's serves frozen lemonade in classic lemon and other flavors; and sells take-home mix, novelty cups, soft pretzels, and assorted bottled beverages.
