Portsmouth celebrates Independence Day each year with the annual fireworks display put on by the Escobar family at their Middle Road farm on July 4th.
The show starts after dark and hundreds gather at Escobar’s Farm to watch the show, which is both a celebration of our nation’s independence as well as an annual community gathering tradition. Many enjoy the show because of it's rural, community feel and opportunity to explore the farm.
Donations are encouraged — since the show does not receive formal town or state funding and is run entirely through donations and volunteers... and the kindness of Mr. Escobar’s heart. There is an old metal milk can, tied to the tree out in front of Jane & Louie's house, where donations can be placed!
