This workshop is for adult actors who are seeking knowledge in proper preparation for auditions. This workshop promises to leave attendees feeling eager and prepared to present themselves to casting teams in a professional and polished manner.
The day will begin with a brief introduction and a question and answer session related to auditioning. Students will then transition into a song and monologue review. Participants will gain personal knowledge through advice and critique from the instructor and will learn from observing fellow participant’s work.
Those registered should prepare and bring with them 16 bars of a musical theatre song of their choice, as well as a one and a half to two-minute monologue (dramatic or comedic). Participants may prepare two contrasting monologues versus a song if they choose.
