“Between the Sea Foam and Over the Sand”

“Between the Sea Foam and Over the Sand” will open with a Reception on Saturday, July 2,
2022 from 1-7 PM. We will have refreshments, music and artist interactions!
Exhibiting artist and DeBlois Member, Virginia Fishburne Stone explains the title of the show as follows. “So much of Rhode Island is surrounded by the sea it seems inevitable that DeBlois Gallery put on a beach going season art show!
This show was named for a line in an old medieval ballad "Scarborough Fair 'made famous in a version by Simon and Garfunkel. "Between the Seafoam and over the Sand" is just one variation of that line.
The exhibit includes the sculpture of Shawndavid Berry, Ellen Blomgren, Laura White Carpenter and Joyce Zipperer. Displaying their paintings are Izabella Casselman, Juliette Casselman, Frank Fishburne, Karen Nash, Suzie Pacheco, Shawndavid Berry and Virginia Fishburne Stone.
The Show continues at the gallery on 134 Aquidneck Ave. in Middletown through July 31. Hours are 1-5 PM, Wednesday- Sunday and Gallery Night July 14, 5-8 PM. Free admission. All are welcome. Ample, free parking.
