Originally playing under the name The Old Man Band a.k.a. TOMB many years ago, founding members Tim McGee, Ron Miller, and Marcel Labreque and later joined by Joe Sturm, continued the band under the name Black Plain Road. Since then the band has grown in size to include Tim Paul on drums, Gary Chabot on lead guitar, and the very talented Tara Girard on vocals. Playing classic rock and blues covers from Aerosmith to Zz-Top, along with alternative and blue grass, there is something for everyone. B.P.R. Has enjoyed playing such venues as the Lighthouse at Twin River, The Stadium Theatre, Lou’s Cafe, and many RI and southeastern Massachusetts bars and clubs. They’ve also supported local charities and events by donating their time for Autumnfest and the American Cancer Society. They love fundraisers and are always willing to “play for a cause”.
