Champion Tree Walk with Dan Daley, Blithewold’s Assistant Grounds Manager

Assistant Grounds Manager Dan Daley will lead a tour through the grounds, identifying and discussing Blithewold’s Rhode Island Champion trees. He will tell us the age and historical significance of the trees, as well as growth habit, bark type, drought tolerance, and disease and pest issues. Visitors will be given an informational handout prior to the walk and are encouraged to ask questions. Each visitor will leave with general knowledge of the champion trees here at Blithewold and will be inspired by each tree’s majestic beauty. This is a walking tour across the entire property, so please dress and plan accordingly.
