An Art Exhibition at Spring Bull Gallery

Copying the works of the masters serves as an effective and time-honored learning tool for artists. Conceived 32 years ago as a fun way to hone artistic skills, Spring Bull Gallery’s annual “Fakes and Forgeries” exhibit has become a popular Newport winter tradition. Artists submit either a faithful reproduction of an old or new master or a parody of the original work. The results never fail to amaze, surprise and amuse.
This year’s juror is distinguished artist Natalie Featherston. The gallery is offering cash prizes in a variety of categories.
Spring Bull Gallery, recently voted Rhode Island Monthly’s Best Gallery in Newport County, is located on historic Bellevue Avenue. Our ever-changing exhibits feature works by award-winning regional artists in a welcoming atmosphere.
