This is a one day festival where participants create scarecrows and/or bring them finished from home. Families, organizations and businesses take part. Scarecrows will remain on display until October 30. Great family day filled with food and entertainment!
Chepachet Village Glocester. Entertainment from noon to 5 at the Chepachet Union Church, 1138 Putnam Pike.
12:00pm----- Trade Secrets barbershop quartet made up of members of the Narragansett Bay Chorus 1:45 pm----- Partington and Sweeney, made up of Mary Lee Partington and Ed Sweeney. Playing original and traditional songs of the Blackstone Valley 3:30 pm-----Old Time Fiddlers playing traditional fiddler tunes of New England and nearby!
Children's entertainment---- The Big Nazo at the Glocester Manton Library from 11:30 am to 3 pm,
Face painting at the pavilion, pumpkin painting at the Glocester Manton Library, Pony rides (Enshanting Allie Stabile) and animals (Dandy Acre Farm) at the Chepachet Baptist Church 1213 Putnam Pike 11 am - 3 pm.
Food-----Chepachet Grange, dynamites at the Pavilion, Clam cakes and chowder at Chepachet Fire Dept., and Glocester Lions with weiners, 1184 Putnam Pike. Village Bean, Black Forest Cafe and Tavern on the Main, our Main Street restaurants! Food trucks, Barbara's Quick Lunch at the Pavilion and Dinolicious Food Truck at 1184 Putnam Pike. The Glocester Scarecrow Marketplace, sponsored by the Glocester Recreation Dept, from 10 am to 3 pm at The Pavilion, 1109 Putnam Pike. All events are subject to weather, participation and time changes.
