JWU Culinary Arts Museum – RI250 Tour & Treat

The Culinary Arts Museum RI250 Tour and Treat will include a walking tour of the exhibits with a professional staff member, a treat provided by JWU Catering, and time to revisit an exhibit or two on your own. The tour will include highlights from the collection honoring the nation’s 250th anniversary July 4th, 2026. Community cookbooks showcasing the organizations and people of Rhode Island anchor our RI250 celebration; historic Rhode Island businesses are highlighted throughout the exhibits; and the White House exhibit now includes more Presidential administrations with culinary documents from the collection celebrating America 250. The tasting includes a complimentary sweet treat and seasonal chilled beverage. This is a ticketed timed event with tours starting at the beginning of the reservation window.

There will be two guided tours per day, one from 10am to noon, and the second from 1pm to 3pm.

As an extension of JWU Library, the Culinary Arts Museum on Johnson & Wales University’s Harborside Campus stores and exhibits hundreds of thousands of historic artifacts associated with the fields of culinary arts, food studies, and hospitality. There are currently sixteen curriculum-driven exhibits on display.
