If you’re looking for free, fun activities for the kids, take a break from the beach and head to the Island Free Library on Dodge Street.
Throughout the summer, the library has special events that coordinate with their summer reading program — from a storyteller to a music and movement workshop to a farm fresh healthy eating program — that are specially geared to make learning fun and inviting for the younger set. Every Friday at 10:30am is story time for preschoolers. Come read, make a craft and eat a snack! Also if you join their 641 Cookbook Club, you can enjoy an evening of sharing delicious food and great conversation each month.
Check out their website at www.islandfreelibrary.org to learn more about everything the library offers; you’ll find a full listing of summer events right on their home page. (And if you’re looking for free FAST WiFi, the library’s got you covered there, too.)
