Featured artists at Made in Warren, the nonprofit artists' cooperative, will offer demonstrations and insights into their concepts and techniques during Art Night Bristol Warren, the second of four summer art nights in the towns, on Thursday, June 27. The cooperative, located at 476 Main Street in Warren, will host a reception for the four featured artists from 5:30PM-8:30PM.
The highlighted artists are potter Rose Esson-Dawson of Westport, MA, whose animals and narratives on wood-fired work reflect a love of nature; Pawtucket's Matthew Finger, whose current work uses different media to explore repeated forms; nature-inspired stained glass artist Christopher Foster of Lincoln; and Bristol printmaker-teacher Suzanne Lewis. The public is invited to meet and greet these artists, in addition to many other members of the cooperative who will be in attendance.
Folksinger Allysen Callery, a Bristol resident whose delicate, austere sound earned her the 2019 Motif Music award for best female vocalist (Americana), will provide music during the evening. Refreshments will be served.
Made in Warren, a winner of RI Monthly magazine's "Best of RI" and Providence Journal's "Reader's Choice" awards, offers unique works of art as well as fine handcrafted gifts. As a showcase and emporium for locally handmade articles all purchases are free of sales tax.
This year, Art Night will feature free continuous trolley service between participating venues. For more information, visit www.artnightbristolwarren.org.
