Season 6 of Music at the Farm concerts continues Oct 8- 2M with Artists in Residence violinist David Bernat and pianist Jiarong Li .They will perform. Bach Violin Sonata No. 3 in C major, BWV 1005 Adagio and Fuga , Schubert: Violin Sonata in A major, D 574 and Prokofiev Violin Concerto No. 2 in G minor, Op . 63
.David was one of 3 violinists representing the US at the Montreal International Violin Competition. He is artistic Director of the Grace Note Farm Chamber Music Festival held each June, He spent last summer performing at the Marlboro Music Festival and is continuing at Juilliard.working on his dissertation researching composers who were killed in the Holocaust, particularly making a close study of lesser-known composers and the way s in which their music contributes to trends in 20th-century music. He has joined Ensemble Connect, which is a program through Carnegie Hall that includes 10 concerts, as well as outreach activities and residencies at Skidmore College.
After her performances in the 3rd annual Grace Note Farm Music Festival, Jiarong spent the summer as a staff accompanist for the Puerto Rican Piano
strings International Music Festival, in the fall she will continue working on her doctorate in collaborative piano with an assistantship at the Manhattan School of Music
