Summer has finally arrived and South County Museum is making a big song and dance about it! The “Music at the Museum” concert offers a night to remember with live music, yard games, and local fare on June 26th from 4:00-9:00pm.
Get ready to dance the night away with three local Rhode Island performers, including Rhode to Bali, Third Signal, and Dudemanbro. Your family can enjoy a lively mix of tunes, from bluesy-island and indie-jazz beats to rock reggae jams. A sunset picnic on the museum’s sprawling eight-acre campus is the perfect way to end a summer Saturday at the beach or working in the garden. Pack your own basket or enjoy a night off from cooking with a treat from one of the local food trucks, including Gansett Poke, Paco’s Tacos, and RI Cruisin’ Cocktails.
You can bop till you drop or take in the music with your family. Your participation at relaxing and fun-filled events like this directly benefits the museum. Don’t forget to register because tickets are limited. Blankets and chairs are recommended. For more information on the event and opportunities to become a member of the museum, call 401-783-5400 or visit southcountymuseum.org. The South County Museum inspires curious learners of all ages to explore, engage, and experience Rhode Island’s unique agriculture, maritime, and mill village history.
