Newport Live Presents Leslie Mendelson
Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Leslie Mendelson evokes the sounds of Laurel Canyon with her folk-rock, pop-Americana flavor. Amongst her fans—and collaborators—is legendary musician Jackson Browne, who has praised the Grammy nominee’s voice, songwriting and melodies as timeless.
Described by Relix Magazine as an artist with “a loyal, cross-generational audience that hugs the hippie, hipster, coffee shop and society crowds,” Leslie’s timeless musicality and evocative songwriting indeed cuts a wide swath. All Music writes that Leslie evokes “1970s songwriter influences in the vein of Carole King and Carly Simon,” while The Aquarian declares she is “the closest thing one can get to a truly honest musical experience.”

About the Evening
Newport Live presents the fourth season in their "Summer Concert Series" at the beautiful Norman Bird Sanctuary in Middletown, Rhode Island. Tickets for this previously sold-out series will go quickly. Advance ticket purchase is recommended.
Beer from Ragged Island Brewing and wine provided by Allen's Wine & Spirits will be available for purchase along with soft drinks. Merchandise will also be available for purchase.
Doors open at 6:00 PM and ticket-holders are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy dinner on Mabel's Studio Lawn overlooking the fields and ocean prior to the show. Please note that outside drink is NOT permitted. In the case of inclement weather, the concert will be held in the Sanctuary's Barn.
