~ Ocean State Oyster Festival (OSOF) collaborates with Nature Conservancy of RI to reclaim the event's discarded oyster shells, keeping them out of the landfill and adaptively up-cycling them for reef building.
~ We also coordinate with Johnson & Wales University, providing culinary arts students an opportunity to earn credit helping with hospitality elements at the event.
~ OSOF brings Rhode Island's coastal aquaculture community to the state's capital, providing residents and visitors an aspect of Rhode Island history and culture that began with Indigenous communities and continues today.
~ Ocean State Oyster Festival has been named a "Best in Rhode Island" by Rhode Island Monthly magazine!
