"Old God" Gallery Exhibit by Andrej Glusgold

Andrej Glusgold is a Berlin-based photographer, artist, and professor with over 25 years of professional experience in photography and fine art. Born in Chisinau, USSR, he emigrated in 1981 with his parents to Germany, where he studied at the University of Art in Bremen. After his graduation in 1996 he moved to Berlin, where he worked as a portrait and fashion photographer for international publications. In 2011 he became a professor of photography at UE – University of Europe for Applied Sciences in Berlin and shifted his focus to personal projects. His works have been exhibited in solo, and group shows across Europe, North America, and Asia. Glusgold‘s oeuvre includes photography, drawing, collage, wood working and poetry. It is inspired by folk art, religious images from all cultures and outsider art, and revolves around cultural and spiritual archetypes, shamanism, and a magical approach toward life.
