PantherArt: The Work of Pleasant View Elementary School
- 154 Angell St., Providence, RI 02912
- Providence
- August 26, 2024 - October 6, 2024
PantherArt is an exhibition and visual arts activation that showcases the artwork of Pleasant View Elementary students, Pre-K through grade 5. Created over the entire school year in collaboration with both their art teacher, Robert Boerner and each other, these pieces illustrate the wide range of artistic expression of over 400 students. PantherArt seeks to forefront creation, expression, and the spirit of youth in exhibiting the fanciful imaginings and mark-making of these young artists.
Pleasant View Elementary, located in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood of Providence, Rhode Island, is a public school serving more than 400 students. As is typical of urban schools, not all of the students begin or end their artistic elementary journey at Pleasant View. But, as the saying goes, “Once a Panther, forever a Panther – WITH PRIDE!” The work of both former and present Panther Artists will be proudly represented.
Join us for a celebration of the exhibition on October 5, 3:00pm.
