South Coast Artists Spring Gallery at Imago in Warren

Imago Foundation for the Arts (IFA) is pleased to announce that it will host the South Coast Artists’ Spring Members’ Invitational Exhibit as the group celebrates its 22nd year.
The exhibit will take place at Imago Gallery, 36 Market Street in Warren, RI, from May 1-31 and features 68 artists showing 123 works of art.

All are invited to a reception for the artists on Saturday, May 3 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. Regular gallery viewing hours are Thursdays 12:00 – 3:00 PM, Fridays and Saturdays from 12:00 – 6:00 PM, and Sundays from 12:00 – 4:00 PM.

Art in the exhibit includes original works in oil, acrylic, pastel, encaustic, watercolor, metal, clay, wood, mixed media, photography and collage. All the artwork is for sale and awards will be given for the top three works selected by juror Michael Rose, an art gallerist and writer based in Providence, Rhode Island.

Rose serves as the gallery manager at the historic Providence Art Club. He also writes the weekly "Inside Art" column profiling artists for local the news website GoLocalProv.com, and produces New England Art News, a weekly newsletter highlighting opportunities for artists throughout the region.

“The quality of the work exhibited this year is impressive,” says SCA President Stephen Remick. “The South Coast is a unique region that has been inspiring artists for generations, and, to be able to share these works at a place like Imago Gallery, is an honor.”
