"The Effects of Sunshine" Group Exhibition

Jessica Hagen Fine Art + Design welcomes "The Effects of Sunshine" group exhibition featuring twenty-plus artists. This exhibition celebrates the start of the summer season and features an eclectic mix of paintings, sculpture, photography, and ceramics. Natural themes are explored: ocean, sky, fields, and flowers, as well as abstract subject matter. Objects of summer are represented in paint too: a straw hat, an outdoor lunch, maybe even a tennis ball or two. Also included are three-dimensional works ranging in size from exquisite paintings in oyster shells to a supersized stoneware moon shell.

Jessica Hagen states, “This is a beautiful and varied collection of artwork that coalesces to create an exceptional and rich experience for the viewer. For twenty years, the gallery’s tagline has been Art for Independent Thinkers and this show is an enthusiastic embrace of that ethos.”

"The Effects of Sunshine" opens Thursday, May 24th and closes Saturday, June 14th.

Jessica Hagen Fine Art + Design was founded in 2005 and features contemporary art including painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, textiles, and jewelry. Located in the historic Point section of Newport, the gallery’s hours are Thursday - Saturday, 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM and Sunday 12:00 - 5:00 PM. The gallery is also open by appointment.
