UPDATE: Rhode Island’s governor, Gina Raimondo, has issued an executive order that all residents must wear a face covering when outside the home. Rhode Island is now in Phase III of the state's reopening plan, which stipulates:
- Restaurants are open for outdoor and indoor dining with capacity restrictions and safety guidelines.
- Social gatherings are limited to 25 people indoors or 50 people outdoors.
- Weddings and public events can host larger gatherings with proper approval. See Phase III guidelines for specific details.
- Domestic travel restrictions: If you are coming to Rhode Island from one of the states listed here with a positivity rate of COVID-19 greater than 5%, you will either have to self-quarantine for 14 days while in Rhode Island, or produce proof of a negative test for COVID-19 that was taken within 72 hours prior to arrival in Rhode Island. If you receive a test after arriving in Rhode Island and get a negative test result, you can stop quarantining.
