Ballard’s Beach is a Block Island tradition, with a hotel and an oceanfront restaurant, plus tiki bars serving craft cocktails, wine, beer, and delicious food. Lounge chairs and umbrellas are available for rent; gas are cabanas, which include 4 lounge chairs, 4 chairs, a table, and a private server. Ballard's Beach is staffed with lifeguards and there is daily live music and beach volleyball in the summer.
Entry to Ballard’s Beach is through the restaurant -- there’s no cover charge – or you can access the beach from a path on the right side of the building and enjoy the scene from a distance, where it’s less crowded and relatively quiet (you’ll miss all the amenities, however.)
