Long Live Beerworks is a seven barrel brewery in the heart of the west side of Providence, RI. Our mission is simple – to brew great beer for the smallest state – with a focus on hop-forward ales and weekly cask-conditioned releases. Our city-based brewery aims to contribute to an already active food community in Providence by focusing on take-away growlers, with featured can and bottle releases. We also have a cozy taproom currently open Wednesday – Saturday where you can enjoy all of our beer on premise.
Brewer/owner Armando DeDona studied commercial beer making at Brew Lab in Sunderland, UK and has a fondness for cask-conditioned ales. Every Friday we celebrate that format by releasing a specialty beer that’s available only in-house. We intentionally don’t have flagships; We model our business on the idea of featuring a regularly-changing lineup for sale and enjoyment directly from the brewery, but some of our crowd favorites are: Wesside: Citra and Centennial hopped IPA, Black Cat: Galaxy and Azacca hopped IPA, loosely designed after one of our first beers when we opened and the first beer we’ve offered in cans; Coarse Grind: A stout featuring cold-brew espresso from our friends at Dave’s Coffee; Rough Hewn: Coarse Grind (our coffee stout), cask-conditioned with bourbon-soaked charred oak.
Special Events: We have a good relationship with a few local food trucks that we occasionally create events around in the summer months. Our favorites to pair with our beer are Gastros + Great Northern BBQ, both based in Providence. We’re planning a special beer dinner with our good friends at Loie Fuller’s early 2017, and a special bottle release off our bourbon barrel aged Russian Imperial stout called Hurry Sundown.
