Sail Newport

Sail Newport’s mission is to promote and operate affordable public sailing instruction, rental programs and to create opportunities to attract new sailors to the sport. We also offer private instruction, with certified instructors, for all skill levels. Private lessons provide a one-on-one experience, and work well as a confidence builder, introduction to the sport of sailing, or are a perfect way to focus on improving specific skills and experience. Private lessons are typically taught in 2 hour (min.) blocks, scheduled at a time that is convenient for you, and based on instructor availability. The minimum student age is 10 and older for 1:1 private instruction.Rates are based on a 1:1 ratio. There is a fee for additional student(s).
