A Magical Fall Festival

CANCELED

A Notice from the Board of Directors

We were saddened to have to cancel the 2023 BeWitched & BeDazzled just hours before it was to have taken place, due to unprecedented rainfall leading up to the event making the grounds unsafe. Please browse through our program booklet and patronize all the businesses and artisans who supported what was to have been an amazing fall extravaganza.

PLEIN AIR ARTIST COMPETITION

An open invitation to adult artists to spend the day at the BeWitched & BeDazzled Fall Festival at Chase Farm Park in Lincoln, RI on Saturday, September 30, 2023. What a fun setting it will be to create your interpretation of the festivities, or the quiet of the picturesque landscape of this historic property. Artists are to provide their own materials and may spread out all around the festival grounds.

All art must be created on-site, between 10:00-1:00 pm, in the true spirit of plein air. Judging by professionals will be conducted at 1:30 pm. Artwork will be displayed with an option for sale by the individual artist before the end of the festival at 4:30. First place winner will receive $100 and 2nd and 3rd place will receive $75 and $50 respectively. The winning pieces will be held for exhibit at the Lincoln Library during the month of October, after which the artwork will be returned to the artist.

Artists may choose to sell their art, at prices selected by the artist. Price change will not be allowed after artwork submission. The artist will provide a 25% commission to the Friends of Hearthside, the event organizer, in support of their preservation efforts of the historic properties at the Great Road Heritage Campus.

ATTENTION VENDORS!

Last year’s inaugural event was an enormous success, and so we’re pleased to announce the 2nd Annual BeWitched & BeDazzled festival. There will be a full day of family fun, set within the picturesque former Chase Dairy Farm along the historic Great Road in Lincoln, RI, and the site of Disney’s filming of Hocus Pocus2.

This advance ticketed event will not only include an exciting variety of vendors for our visitors, but the large-scale event will also feature top-notch theatrical and dance performances, psychics, magic show, hayrides, costumed character interaction, children’s activities, wand making workshops, costume contest, face painting, art contest, food and more. Guests of all ages, and including vendors, are encouraged to join in the fun by wearing costumes. Attendance limits for the festival are being expanded this year from 4,000 to 6,000.

We are seeking creatives and local artisans from across New England, whose products characterize the Fall season, Halloween, or Christmas. This is a juried event, so we strive to offer a varied selection of creative and unique products for sale from approximately 75 vendors.

The entire festival takes place in a huge open field, with a main tent for entertainment throughout the day, other tents for various features, food trucks, and our Broomstick Bazaar, a dedicated area for all the artisans and vendors that is set up in a “street” pattern. Spaces will be 15 feet square at $80 or a double space of 30 feet x 15 feet at $150. Vendor set up time 7-9:30 am (or the day before) and take down at 4:30 pm. Spaces are self-sufficient, so vendors need to bring their own tents, tables and chairs, and to present their craft in a most attractive display.

VENDOR AREA IS NOW FULL. WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS.
