PLEASE HELP US TO ASSURE THE LONG-TERM FUTURE OF

THE RHODE ISLAND IRISH FAMINE MEMORIAL

Because our original Members are rapidly aging out and dying off, we now expect that the fundamental work of the Rhode Island Irish Famine Memorial Committee, Inc., as a nonprofit, tax-exempt historical and educational organization, will be completed by the end of 2024.

The legal process of transforming the current Famine Committee into a successor entity which will assume permanent responsibility for the long-term custodial care of the Famine Memorial and its entire site, including the future installation of an Irish Unification Monument there, is well underway!

You can help to assure that the Famine Memorial will be preserved for many future generations of visitors by making a tax-deductible contribution, in any amount, to our “Endowment Fund.”

A generous, anonymous Donor has offered to match your gift, dollar for dollar, up to a total of $35,000. This means that whatever you choose to give to our Endowment Fund will be doubled in value! Just write “Endowment Fund” in the Memo line on your check and we will do the rest.

DON’T MISS THIS UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO HONOR THE VICTIMS AND SURVIVORS OF IRELAND’S “GREAT FAMINE OF 1845-1851” AS WELL AS THEIR DESCENDANTS TOO.

Please make your tax-deductible Endowment Fund gift check payable to:

R.I. Irish Famine Memorial Committee, Inc.

P.O. Box 28077

Providence, RI 02908

Finally, it is still not too late to purchase a Donor Brick or Granite Flagstone at the Famine Memorial site if you wish to do that also. Please visit our website: https://rifaminememorial.com for details.

Thank you all for more than twenty-five years in support of the Famine Memorial Project. The virtual completion of our work in 2024 would not have been possible without the tireless commitment of each and every one of you to this magnificent tribute project!”
