CONCESSIONS

If you want to make sure you can keep your little ones fueled up for a long day in the sun and surf, you'll want a beach with a concession stand. Bristol Town Beach, located within a 47-acre park near the entrance to Colt State Park, has concessions along with a playground, picnic tables and athletic facilities. Easton's Beach features a snack bar, elevator, beach wheelchairs, playground and more, along with a beach store for all the odds and ends you forgot at home. Spring Lake Beach & Arcade features concessions along with a volleyball court, arcade, paddleboats and canoes. Filter for concessions below for a complete list.

PICNIC AREAS

Picnic areas are a great beach amenity, whether your family is hitting up the snack bar or packing a cooler for lunch. Here are a few beaches with picnic areas. Use the filters below for the complete list. Along with a picnic area, Conimicut Point Beach features beautiful views of Narragansett Bay and the Conimicut Point Lighthouse as well as a canoe and kayak launch. Sachuest Beach (locally known as Second Beach) has picnic tables as wells as grills, concessions, showers, bathrooms and surf rentals and lessons. East Matunuck State Beach has a picnic area, pavilion and plenty of parking, but it's also known for strong surf - so keep a close eye on children and those with limited swimming ability.

PLAYGROUNDS

Looking for a beach that has more to offer your children than just waves and sand? Here's a few Rhode Island beaches with playgrounds your littles will love. In the Warwick area, head to Oakland Beach for swimming, picnicking and playground fun on the Greenwich Bay inlet saltwater beach.
