Family Fun & Games

It's time to plan your spring getaway to Rhode Island. If your family has a bit of a competitive streak, you are going to love what Rhode Island has in store for your visit! Where to begin?

Providence

How about The Zachariah Conundrum? Book this outdoor scavenger hunt adventure through downtown Providence with Escape Rhode Island. While in the capital city, you can also check out Dave & Busters for loads of arcade games (and food) or take a 10-minute drive is  Mulligan’s Island for mini-golf, batting cages, and more in Cranston. While in Providence, a visit to Roger Williams Park Zoo is really a must. You can go to Food Truck Fridays at the zoo’s Carousel Village or just take a stroll through the gorgeous park grounds.  Here on a Saturday? Take the kids for Glow Skating at United Skates of America in East Providence. Grab great Mexican food in Providence at Xaco Taco or weiners at Olneyville New York System and if you're in the mood for fun snacks, stop at PVDonuts or Friskie Fries.

Blackstone Valley

Head north to Blackstone Valley, and have a unique breakfast experience at the Modern Diner - in a Sterling Streamliner, a line of “modernistic” diners manufactured in the late 1930s and early 1940s and the first diner on the National Register for Historic Places. Their Custard French Toast was featured on the Food Network! Once you've eaten, try an indoor escape room experience with Lock & Clue Escape Rooms in Pawtucket. Then go a bit further north to Lincoln, for bowling at CW Lanes & Games, indoor karting (and an arcade, immersive gaming, and more) at R1 Indoor Karting, or paintball, archery tag, dodgeball, and more at Battle Ground Z. Some fun food spots nearby include A&W (longest-running carhop in RI), Harry’s Burger Bar, Laura's Bar & Grill and Lincoln Creamery.
