Save The Bay's Exploration Center & Aquarium is a hands-on marine science learning center and home to more than 50 species of local Narragansett Bay critters. Get up close and personal with sea urchins, sea stars, horseshoe crabs, dogfish sharks and more in three touch tanks. See tropical strays, big fish of the Bay, turtles, lobsters, and much more in dozens of other exhibits. Children's activities include a scavenger hunt, story hour, craft/science table, and sandbox, which can keep families occupied for a couple o hours. The Exploration Center & Aquarium is open daily from 10 am - 4 pm, from Memorial Day through Labor Day. And in the winter months, the Center is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sunday from 10 am - 4 pm, plus many public school vacation weeks.
