The audio tour brings Rosecliff's history and romance to life. From silver heiress Tessie Oelrichs, who commissioned this fantasy in terra cotta completed in 1902, to the Monroes of New Orleans, who were Rosecliff's last private owners, you'll discover the very human story of Newport's great party house. Featuring Newport's largest private ballroom, Rosecliff has been the setting for several movies including "The Great Gatsby" with Robert Redford and Mia Farrow in 1974, "True Lies" in 1994 and "27 Dresses" in 2007. The second floor includes an exhibition gallery featuring changing exhibitions about Newport and Rhode Island history. Museum store.
