The NMAI focuses on illustration artworks created for reproduction in books, periodicals, and other print media. The museum’s collection is exhibited in the historic Gilded Ate mansion Vernon court, design by the noted Beaux-Arts architects Carrere and Hastings. Featured artists included: Norman Rockwell, Maxfield Parrish, Howard Pyle, JC Leyendecker, NC Wyeth and over 150 others.
