This charminge Italianate-style cottage was designed by Newport architect George Champlin Mason. Today it reflects the mid-20th century style of its last owner, Alletta Morris McBean, a descendant of Lewis Morris III, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. The house contains original family furnishings and a collection of important nineteenth-century American paintings, including Hudson River landscapes. Open seasonally, late May to Labor Day.
