Ryan Kent discovered his passion for cooking when he had to cook for his siblings growing up. In the process, he was inspired to play with different types of foods and flavors, which led to him taking culinary courses and landed him a job as a prep cook at Rocky Point Pizza.

He is currently head chef for Doherty’s Irish Pub. Throughout the years, he has opened three restaurants with owner Jack Doherty and made Shannon View Inn his main home.

His favorite dish to make is "My Meat Loaf," which is inspired by his mother’s meat loaf recipe infused with his own twist.
