Built in 1807, the North Gate Toll House served as a toll-house for the Louisquisset Turnpike Company and as the Lime Rock Hotel in the mid-1800's. The house includes a library with holdings pertaining to the Blackstone Valley, a small museum room with early 18th century furniture, a meeting hall whose unique feature is an advertising stage curtain dating to 1925, and the Rice Museum room, which is a reproduction of a mid-18th century room. It is also home of the Blackstone Valley Historical Society. Open for monthly meetings, special events and by appointment.
